Alongside this charging effect all of us can feel from her, she shares her experience with techniques and encouragement guides straight from her heart, with a special love for teaching. About YAN
Yan Ong has been teaching Ashtanga Yoga full time for the past 10 years, she’s an authorised level 2 Ashtanga Yoga teacher & owner of Mysore Room. She moved to Mysore, India in 2010 living there for 4 years, studying with Paramaguru Sharath Jois at the Ashtanga Institute & ancient yoga philosophy scripture, returning annually to deepen her learning. In the past decade she has brought gift of yoga across the globe to over 10 countries spanning 4 continents. She has conducted classes, philosophy lectures, workshops, festival events, owned a shala, hosts a yoga book club & podcast. Yan’s teaching, writing & talks are energised by her wealth of experience & unique perspective, bringing a fun & exciting approach to ancient yoga teachings to spark curiosity into ourselves. ABOUT SUNDAY WORKSHOP Backbending, The Spine & Mobility 2hrs Everything you need to know to start & deepen your journey into back bending. This workshop will cover different categories of back bending in Ashtanga from basic anatomy, explore supporting exercises to access flexibility & strength, including understanding how to breathe in this complicated movement. Gain the knowledge required to develop a lifelong, safe & fun practice into the world of back bending to start this summer with an open heart! |
