Guruji [EN]

Ever since I started to understand a bit about the complexity of the mind and into thoughts about what keeps us from following life’s simple purpose of enjoying and thriving. And into thoughts about perception and how we fill the space between us and the object with interact with, and that because of this we lose the truth of these. I started to, as you can see from these last lines of text, to feel as if lost and overwhelmed with knowledge and excitement. With this, one loses his centre, his root cause and initial motive of when it started this journey into the unknown of the within. One starts to lose a practical sense and gets trapped within other layers of minds complex. It’s true the very common saying of “there is always more to learn”. One gets more knowledge but it doesn’t get anymore wiser. Wiser in the practical sense. In life.

Once back in Mysore for the practice of Ashtanga Yoga in KPJAYI, and most directly for the study of yoga, I was back to enjoying the chanting classes with Laksmish. These classes, as it is traditionally in all teachings on yoga, are of a followed and rhythmic synthesized and condensed flow of information. With time traditionally this information on study is discussed, clarified and explain by the gurus to the shisyas. These chanting classes are based only on hearing the well recited sanskrit verses, by the teacher, and repeating them in our best approach to the correct pronunciation. The students follow the teachers’ indications as he conducts the classes: what parts are to repeat after he chants; what parts are to chant altogether; and what noticeable pronunciation mistakes are there to be corrected. We learn the tempos, Sanskrit pronunciation and the total specific sound of all the mantras that were chosen to be chanted in class by Laksmish. Of what I’ve understood there is a whole field of knowledge on how to recite and chant the mantras, to harness their benefits. In contrary to many students, I find well enough to understand about the complexity that it could be to come to learn it all so perfectly. And for the exact same reason I respect, well enough too, the way yoga teachings, as well are these chanting classes, are traditionally led - in the most synthesized and direct form as possible.

28.09.2016 (India Again) [EN]

4/28/2020

Picture
It’s at 5am in the last days of september that i arrive for the 3rd time to india. My body is aching, because of the many different flights that i took to reach bangalore once again, but my mind is alert. Early morning, is a good time to arrive to any place, even to ones’ self. It’s the dawn of a new day, everyone is leaning towards new feelings and perspectives, and for me is indeed the start of another new and exciting chapter.

I felt straight away. There is an inspiring feeling and state of being in the indian people. Right here at the airport friends and families gather in reunion. And their comfort towards inner peace, although some might think it arises through severe austerities, i feel it to be rather natural and contagious. Makes me feel i’m where i should be for now. And that i’ve something more to take inward from this inspiring culture than just it’s wonderfull meals and breakfasts (hiihhhiiihihih can’t wait to get those nurtering idlis)

It’s the 3rd time I’m landing in Bangalore and i know just what to do to get to Mysore, my final destination. I took the shuttle bus to the city center and a typical indian train will lead me to mysore. A typical indian trip for me to say good morning and wake up to indias’ reality one more time.

This time i’m here in a season I havent witnessed yet. Start of October. Temperatures are dropping and rain is to be falling. I already noticed the palm trees have their fruit branches loaded with the heavy seeds, gravitationally leaning down in contrast with the light leaf branches facing upward. A new load of seeds, in nature, are to be ripe and sowed, and new born fruits to be harvested.

Thankk you India,

once again

The End of this Season [EN]

4/28/2020

In my first and last time in Mysore, Feb. and March 2015, I was often losing or leaving somewhere many things. I was losing my KPJAYI ID card, my credit card, my wallet, my bad habits, ect... but in the end of that season I found what i came looking for: a method, a practice in which I could keep myself-progressing towards self-awereness, in which I could keep myself awake, active and participating in life from within.

In the end of last season in Mysore I decided I would do everything to come back. And if the universe showed me an opportunity to come back I would just take it, and that’s what happened. Everything went smooth in the months between and nothing did stopped me.
