Too Much Clarity / Demasiado Sensível [EN & PT]

Do you know when you go from a very dark place into a very luminous space rapidly and your eyes are still adjusting? Everything looks blurred and not quite clear even though you are actually exposed to more light. It takes a bit of time but your eyes adjust to the right amount of light intake so that you can more easily sense the space of your environment clearly. The same occurs when rapidly you go from a very luminous space into a darker space, your eyes have to adjust.

Clarity is not about dark or light. Clarity is about having the right amount of sensibility to perceive clearly our environments.

Resistance (and Flow) [EN]

Isn’t resistance a constant in life. Somehow. Resistance is felt as if it is, in a way, as important as the flow, the freedom from resistance. Resistance exists in accordance to a contrast with the sense of flow. And flow it only exists, at some extent, in the contrast to the sense of resistance. To flow in safety through curves, ups and downs, in these entangled ways of life, these interesting ones, Resistance plays an important part. That is, a break, a slow down, a coming together, before ascending up a stage or diving deep down. That sense of stop, resist, let’s center and go is in essence important to flow. In this way it is a managing tool of our energy. Although there is in the raw meaning of the word resistance a sense of stoping, obstruct and getting stuck in a fight, Resistance and Flowing come together and form harmony in life has we know it on earth. Let’s just think about earths valleys, rivers swaying down the mountains, clouds and rain, lakes, waterfalls, seas and oceans, etc… With excess of flowing we might just end up flowing in circles and not be able to recollect, center, gather and move up fully. But I’m in this article here to explore the concept of resistance. In the excess of resistance it is gathered an incredible amount of hidden secrets of our life that hold us back, cuts us off and diminishes our potential. And at the same time the understanding of it and the breakthrough off resistance might set us off in an incredible flow of our essence, and of our creative potential.

Guruji [EN]

Ever since I started to understand a bit about the complexity of the mind and into thoughts about what keeps us from following life’s simple purpose of enjoying and thriving. And into thoughts about perception and how we fill the space between us and the object with interact with, and that because of this we lose the truth of these. I started to, as you can see from these last lines of text, to feel as if lost and overwhelmed with knowledge and excitement. With this, one loses his centre, his root cause and initial motive of when it started this journey into the unknown of the within. One starts to lose a practical sense and gets trapped within other layers of minds complex. It’s true the very common saying of “there is always more to learn”. One gets more knowledge but it doesn’t get anymore wiser. Wiser in the practical sense. In life.

The Purpose of Learning/ Practice/ Teaching Yoga [EN]

I do think that the world needs more yoga practitioners than yoga teachers. For me the same reasons I do my practice are the same reasons I would like to teach. I do believe that yoga practice, yoga sadhana, brings up many benefits, many of the values that are missing in today’s community, in humanity. This being: self-power, self-love, self-knowledge...

So why focus so much on the third limb of Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga, asana? Why start here? Why give so much attention to the root, to the body?
